"The TouchSecure family is designed to offer customers a true seamless migration path," said John Menzel, Vice President Access Control ID Solutions for Identive. "The readers enable organizations to bridge their legacy access systems with next-generation solutions that encompass greater performance, security and integration with IT systems -- all while using a single credential. TouchSecure is truly one reader for all cards."
Identive's TouchSecure OpenAccess readers are capable of reading a multitude of access card formats, enabling the convergence of physical and logical access systems around the use of a single trusted identity credential. Importantly, they offer flexibility to migrate employee credentials gradually over time, without the need to replace existing controllers, wiring or access readers. The readers also offer complete scalability for small businesses to meet both enterprise and government requirements.
Additionally, the TouchSecure readers are designed to adapt to evolving security technology with the inclusion of a Java-based high security processer known as a Security Access Module (SAM). The SAM can be upgraded in the field using industry standards, ensuring that the overall TouchSecure ecosystem maintains the highest levels of security available.
Identive's family of TouchSecure OpenAccess readers support multiple proximity and smart card formats, including proximity - 125 kHz (all major building access formats), NXP MIFARE Classic, DesFire/EV1, ISO14443A/B CSN, PLAID, ISO 15693, NFC and U.S. government personal identification verification (PIV), including PIV-I.
Identive's TouchSecure OpenAccess Wall Mount reader is designed to mount on most single-gang international electrical boxes. It measures 11.8 x 7.8 x 2.8 cm (4.6 x 3.1 x 1.1 in) and weighs 235 g (8.28 oz).
