New ID Card for Identification and Authentification in the Library?

Since November 2010, 9 million new identity cards (nPa) were issued in Germany. With the nPa, users can authenticate safely and comfortably online and provide qualified, electronic signatures (QES). Libraries could, after certification by the Federal Office of Administration, offer students the opportunity to rent online electronic media, carry out payment transactions, etc.
